Onion Gravy
 
1 tablespoon of Corn oil
8oz (225g ) onions, peeled and thinly sliced
15fl oz ( 425 ml ) vegetable stock made with bouillon powder
1 rounded tablespoon of plain flour mixed with a little water
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  1. Fry the onions gently until really brown, as this will give flavour and colour to the gravy
  2. Pour in the stock and simmer gently for 5 minutes
  3. Season to taste
  4. Add the flour mixture and simmer gently for another 3-4 minutes
