Fish Pie
 
2 large fillets of smoked undyed Cod or Haddock
150g ( 6oz ) cooked prawns
3-4 teaspoons of Capers 
grated rind of half a lemon
the juice of a lemon
425ml ( 3/4 pint )  of milk
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Potatoes
Butter
some flour for thickening
grated cheddar
2-3 bay
leaves
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste, beware, the smocked fish is already salty
  1. peel and boil potatoes
  2. mash the potatoes with some butter and hot milk
  3. poach the fish gently in milk with the bay leaves
  4. when ready, remove fish from the milk and save the milk
  5. take of the skin of the fish and flake into big chunks, removing all the bones
  6. thicken the milk with some flour and add the lemon juice, chopped parsley and capers
  7. grease a shallow ovenproof dish with butter
  8. put in the fish with the prawns and pour over the liquid
  9. spread the mashed potatoes over the fish and sauce 
  10. sprinkle some grated cheddar over it
  11. bake for 25 minutes in a hot oven
  12. serve with your favorite vegetables, delicious.
