Chicken
with Paprika, Hungarian Style,
easy to prepare.
Will make 4 portions.
4 skinless chicken breasts, diced
200ml ( 7fl oz ) tub of crème fraîche
225g ( 8oz ) shallots, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon mild paprika
1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
1 knob of unsalted butter
salt and freshly ground pepper
- fry the shallots in the oil and butter
until transparent,
- add the chicken pieces and brown on
all sides
- now add the crushed garlic
- leave to cook for a few minutes
- add the paprika
- stir and fry gently, don't burn the
paprika or it will become bitter
- season to taste
- pour in the crème fraîche and heat
gently
- serve with Spätzle, Noodles or
Gnocchi and
cucumber salad, delicious.
