Recipes 200g ( 8oz ) plain flour
100g ( 4oz) ground Hazelnuts
100g
( 4oz)
powder sugar
125 ( 5oz) cold unsalted butter cut into cubes
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp cocoa
1 egg (medium)
1 jar of cherry jam
- sift flour, cinnamon, cocoa, sugar
into a bowl
mix in the ground hazelnuts
- rub in the cold butter until the
mixture resembles bread crumbs
- knead in the egg
- wrap in cling film and place into
the fridge for 1 hour
- roll out and cut out heart shapes,
cutting smaller hearts into half of them
- bake at 200c for 10-12 minutes
- leave to cool on a baking rack
- heat the jam gently and pass through
a sieve
- brush on the warm jam and place the
centre cut out hearts on top
- dust with powder sugar
- with a spoon add more warm jam into
the heart opening
- leave to set.
