One of the most beautiful Jacobean houses in the UK.
The Old Palace was completed in 1496 and
the building of Hatfield House was started on the grounds next to the Old Palace in1609 and completed in 1611.
It is still the home of the Cecil family today.

Queen Elizabeth the 1st spent most of her childhood here
