Poppies ( papaver )
Things are coming up thick and fast, that I can barely keep up with things.
One poppy plant was planted many years ago and now they have smothered everything around them. I have tried to dig them all out , yet in spring new shoots appear again and the color is just amazing, so they are forgiven for another few weeks until they  have faded and make the  flowerbed look untidy.

Blues and Yellows

Doesn't the blue and yellow  look good?
This is my favorite color combination,
I especially love all blue flowers. 
In the foreground is the blue Siberian iris, very easy to grow,  in the  background yellow iris and Mexican orange.

Alliums
These alliums are just one of my favorite plants, even when faded their seedpods look beautiful.
Looking past the alliums you can see an old oak tree which is just behind the pass leading to the wild part of the garden
