A garden in June

A favorite retreat

  A favorite retreat
This is our favorite spot in front of the pond. It is very relaxing to sit here and watch the fish, frogs, dragonflies and listen to the birds song.
To the far right of the picture is a Marrocan Broom with its big pineapple scented blossoms, which is doing really well this year.
Over the arch to the right is a red wine grape.
It produced quiet a few grapes but no wine yet as the birds always beat us to it. On the other side of the arch is the climbing rose Albertine.

Rose Warwick Castle
This is a really stunning rose. The first few blooms are the size  of saucers. Behind is the lovely Cottage Rose. Both roses are the old fashioned type. Further back are delphiniums and campanulas.

Clematis Jackmanii

Clematis Jackmanii
A very vigorous clematis, looks good combined with the climbing rose
New Dawn or Albertine.
